Manage your subscription

Where billing lives, how to pause, resume or cancel, and what changes once a paid period ends.

Billing is where managing a subscription you already have starts. When you bought your plan in an app store or with PayPal, part of it happens there instead, and this page covers that too.

Open your billing page

Open Settings. It's in the navigation once you expand it, and selecting your avatar gets you there too.

Under Billing, click Manage Billing — "View your plan, upgrade, or cancel".

You land on Billing: Current Plan with the plan you're on, Your Features, and whichever controls fit your subscription — Pause or Cancel or Cancel Subscription.

On Free, the plan card carries Upgrade instead and takes you to the pricing page. At the bottom of Billing there's Contact support and your account ID.

The feature list isn't your plan

Your Features shows the same list to everyone on a paid plan, so it's not a reliable read on which tier you're on. Plans has the real split between Pro and AI Pro.

Take a break instead of cancelling

On Billing, click Manage beside Pause or Cancel. That's the lower one — the Manage on the plan card takes you out to wherever your subscription is managed, covered below.

Need a break? offers to pause until the next August 1, with no charges in between.

Click Pause until August 1, or Keep to leave everything as it is.

Your classes and assignments, flashcards and study materials, and calendar sync and LMS connections all stay exactly as you left them. Paid features step back to what Free gets until billing restarts.

Your plan card reads "Pro (Paused)" with the date, a Paused badge appears in the header, and we email you to confirm.

Billing restarts on its own on that August 1. To come back sooner, click Resume Now on Billing; we confirm with "Subscription resumed" and put your Pro features back.

Pause is only offered when the row on Billing reads Pause or Cancel. If your subscription lives somewhere else — PayPal or an app store — that row is Cancel Subscription with a plain Cancel instead.

Cancel

On Billing, click Manage beside Pause or Cancel.

In Need a break?, click Don't need it anymore? Cancel permanently.

Before you go asks "Help us improve — what's the main reason you're leaving?". Pick Too expensive, Not using it enough, Switching to another tool, Missing a feature I need, or Other, which opens a box for "Tell us more (optional)".

Click Cancel to confirm, or Go back to return to the pause offer.

We confirm with the date your access runs to, and nothing is charged after that. Nothing already charged comes back either — see refunds.

Refunds

Cancelling doesn't refund anything on its own. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for and then stops, and no money goes back to your card automatically. There's no refund button in Due Gooder: to ask about one, contact support from the email on your account and say why. The refund policy sets out what qualifies.

A plan bought through an app store is the store's to refund, not ours. For Apple, follow the steps under refunds for a plan bought through Apple; for Google Play, ask Google through the Play Store.

What happens when the period ends

You keep everything you've paid for until the last day of the period. After that:

  • Your account goes back to Free. Classes, assignments, flashcards and materials all stay put, and you can keep editing them. What Free won't let you do is add another class once you have two.
  • Google Calendar sync switches off for every class. What we already put in your calendar stays there; we stop adding and updating.
  • The features that need a paid plan stop: LMS imports, lecture recordings, uploading to and searching your Locker, and generating flashcards and practice tests.

If a renewal payment doesn't go through, you don't drop out on the spot: your plan stays on while the payment is retried, and only ends if the retries run out.

Open subscription management

There's nowhere in Due Gooder itself to edit a card or a billing address. Use Manage at the top of the plan card on Billing and it hands you over: to an external billing page for most subscriptions, or to PayPal Orders & Subscriptions if you paid with PayPal. A store subscription has nothing for Manage to open — change it in the store.

Don't stack two plans

If you already pay for Due Gooder, buying a second subscription somewhere else isn't the way to change plan — two plans bought in different places aren't reliably blocked from overlapping. Change your plan where you bought it, or contact support if you think you're being billed twice.

If you paid with PayPal

Manage on the plan card opens PayPal Orders & Subscriptions, which lists your PayPal orders and subscriptions with the plan, the status, and the date each one was created. Click Cancel Subscription on the one you want to end. It asks "Are you sure you want to cancel this subscription? This action cannot be undone." — confirm with Yes, Cancel Subscription, or back out with Close.

← Back on that page goes to your dashboard rather than Billing, so come back through Settings → Manage Billing.

If you subscribed in the iPhone or Android app

Apple and Google Play own those subscriptions, and only they can end one.

  • On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, and cancel Due Gooder there.
  • On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and cancel Due Gooder.

The Cancel button on Billing can't end a store or PayPal subscription

Billing still shows Cancel under "Cancel Subscription" for these, but it comes back with "No active subscription found" and nothing is cancelled, and Manage has nothing to open for a store subscription. Cancel in the store, or on the PayPal page above. Deleting your Due Gooder account doesn't cancel a store subscription either.
