Brain Dump
Say everything you have going on out loud, and we turn it into timeblocks on your calendar.
Brain Dump is for when your week is in your head instead of on your calendar. You talk, we write down what we heard, and you keep the parts you want as timeblocks.
It lives under Brain Dump in the sidebar, and it's on every plan.
Brain Dump only takes your voice: there's no text box, so you need a microphone and a browser you've allowed to use it.

What we pull out of your recording
- We work out the dates you say out loud, like "tomorrow", "Friday", or "next week".
- If you don't give a time, we pick an open one and make the block an hour long.
- We look at your class meeting times and the timeblocks you already have coming up, and keep new blocks out of them. If you asked for a specific time, we use it even when it clashes.
- Every proposal gets a type: Study, Exam, Project, Meeting, Errand, Workout, Break, or Other.
- The words we used for an event are highlighted in the transcript in the same color as that event's dot, so you can see where each one came from.
Fix a proposal before you save
Each row in the events list has a pencil and a trash can. The pencil opens Edit Event, where you can change Event Name, Type, Start Date, Start Time, and End Time, then click Done. The trash can drops a proposal. Start Over clears the transcript and every proposal so you can record again.
If we missed something, Add Event Manually adds a blank event at the next whole hour, an hour long, typed Other, and opens it for you to fill in. When we picked up nothing at all, the list says "No events auto-detected — add one manually from the transcript."
Start Time and End Time move in 15-minute steps and run from 6:00 AM to 1:45 AM.
Nothing is added to your calendar until you save
Recording and editing don't touch your calendar. Only the save button writes the blocks, and it counts only the events that have a title and both times. When none of them do, the button is greyed out until you fill one in.
Where the blocks land
Saved events become timeblocks on your Calendar, the same kind you get from New event > Timeblock. They aren't assignments: they don't belong to a class, and nothing about them counts as work due. Any extra context we caught goes in the block's description, which you can edit on the calendar under Description (optional).
If your Google Calendar is connected, we send the blocks over for you, into a calendar named "Timeblocks - DG".
There's no push button; it runs in the background, and it's best effort, so a block that saved in Due Gooder can still be missing in Google. If you subscribe from Apple Calendar or Outlook instead, the feed carries timeblocks that start within the last 30 days or the next 365 days, and those apps refresh on their own schedule.
With the mobile app and notifications on, we line up one reminder for each block you haven't finished, 10 minutes before it starts. A block starting in 10 minutes or less doesn't get one.
If something goes wrong
- "Microphone access denied. Please allow microphone access." — we couldn't start recording. Check that Due Gooder is allowed to use your microphone, then record again.
- "No audio recorded." — the recording came back empty. Record again.
- "We couldn't read that recording. Try recording again." — the audio came through in a format or size we couldn't work with.
- "Could not transcribe audio. Try speaking more clearly." — we heard the recording but no words in it.
- "Transcription is temporarily unavailable. Try again in a minute." — that one is on our side, not yours. Try again later.
- "No events found — add them manually from the transcript." — we understood you but nothing sounded like a plan, so add what you need with Add Event Manually.
