Plans

What Free, Pro and AI Pro each include, what they cost, and how upgrading works on the web and in the apps.

Due Gooder is free to use with two classes. Pro lifts that limit and turns on the Canvas and Blackboard import. AI Pro adds the tools that make something out of your material: lecture recordings, the Locker, flashcards and practice tests.

What each plan includes

FreeProAI Pro
Classes at once2UnlimitedUnlimited
Import from Canvas, Blackboard or Moodle—YesYes
Lecture recordings and notes——Yes
Locker upload and search——Yes
AI flashcard decks——Yes
AI practice tests——Yes

That table is the whole of it — those are the only things a plan turns on and off. Your dashboard, classes, assignments, due dates, study blocks and Duedles work the same whichever plan you're on. The paid cards also list "Google Calendar sync", though nothing on Free stops you connecting your calendar today.

Only classes you're actually using count towards the two on Free — archive one and it stops counting. See classes.

If you've been paying since before Pro and AI Pro split into two plans, your old plan keeps all of it, AI tools included. Your plan name is on Settings → Manage Billing.

What it costs

Prices live on the pricing page at app.duegooder.com/app/pricing. There's no Pricing link in the sidebar, so you get there by that address, from Settings → Manage Billing → Upgrade, or from any lock that offers you an upgrade.

Two tabs, Pro Membership and AI Pro Membership, each with three cards — Monthly, Semester and Yearly. Semester is tagged Best deal. Every card shows a price per month, then how you're actually billed:

ProAI Pro
Monthly$4.99 /month, "Charged monthly"$9.99 /month, "Charged monthly"
Semester$3.75 /month, "$14.99 charged per semester (4 months)"$6.25 /month, "$24.99 charged per semester (4 months)"
Yearly$2.50 /month, "$29.99 charged per year"$4.17 /month, "$49.99 charged per year"

Both tabs list the same seven lines, and on Pro Membership the four AI ones are crossed out. Click a crossed-out line and we move you to the AI Pro Membership tab so you can see what it'd cost. At the bottom of the page: "Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing."

What semester means

A semester here is four months, not a school term you have to prove. We read prices live, so the cards are the last word on what you'd pay.

Upgrade on the web

Open the pricing page and pick Pro Membership or AI Pro Membership.
Choose the card you want — Monthly, Semester or Yearly.

Click Get Pro or Get AI Pro. We hand you over to a checkout page to pay. There's only the one checkout on the web; if you have a promo code, it goes in there.

Pay, and you come back to Due Gooder. The screen confirms the payment, offers Go to Dashboard and View Billing, and sends you to your dashboard on its own after ten seconds. It warns that your features can take a couple of minutes to switch over, so if something's still locked, give it a moment and reload.

Already paying and moving to another plan? If you bought your plan here on the web, you don't buy a second subscription — we send you to a confirmation screen showing what the change costs today, and swap your plan over. If yours is already set to end, we stop you first and ask you to resume it before changing, with Go to Billing to do that. If you bought it anywhere else, start at Settings → Manage Billing instead and change it where you're paying.

Upgrade in the app

You can also start a paid plan from inside the iOS app or the Android app. Wherever you buy it is where it stays: a plan bought through Apple or Google Play is upgraded, switched and cancelled in that store, and a plan bought on the web is changed on the web. The pricing page knows the difference — if you pay through a store, every plan button is replaced by Manage in App Store or Manage in Google Play, and the web checkout turns you away with "Your subscription is billed through Apple, so it has to be changed there — subscribing here would charge you a second time." The apps do the same in reverse for a plan bought on the web. Settings → Manage Billing is where you check what you're on.

When something's locked

On Free or Pro, opening an AI Pro feature covers the page with "Get AI Pro to unlock this feature", a line about what that feature does, and two buttons: Get AI Pro opens pricing on the AI Pro tab, Back to dashboard leaves it. The X in the corner and the escape key both close it. The import from Canvas and Blackboard is the one Pro-level lock, and it reads "Get Pro to unlock this feature".

Adding a third class on Free brings up "Class limit reached" and "Your free plan covers 2 classes. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited classes.", with Upgrade to Pro opening pricing in a new tab.

Other ways onto a paid plan

Some schools partner with Due Gooder so their students land on a paid plan automatically when they sign in with their school email. There's no email and nothing to click — if your school is one of them, Settings → Manage Billing shows what you're on. It never overwrites a plan you're already paying for.
